Default Pitbull Attack

I'm sure you've all seen this old video of a lady's pitbull attacking an animal control officer that came to confiscate the dog. I thought it should be added here because it was a pretty intense and unfortunate incident. The "handler" was a complete loony. Anyway, here it is.

EDIT BY PATRICK: After further consideration this type of video does NOT represent what a PPD is all about. The video depicted the use of a dog in a violently, unlawful manner against innocent people.

What a crazy bitch! Love how the officer tries using the owner to block the dog. Wow, that's just crazy video.

I have seen this video before and thought of posting it, I also have others that are even more graphic, but I decided against it. These situations are interesting, they involve dog bites and behavior and also have the shock value, like watching a bad accident. But they're also what uneducated folks have in mind when we talk about our protection dogs. Is it possible that to have such a vid on this site will give a wrong impression about what we do? Also, while I know that pit bulls are capable of this kind of behavior, I like the ones that are stable and well trained and don't want to give them even more of a bad rap.

I think this is a good time to set a policy for the forum regarding this sort of thing. What do you guys think?

Good point Dan. While I know that you, Michelle, Howard, etc. know that this is not representative of a what a true PPD is about, the unknowing public doesn't. Posting videos like this for the sake of posting them doesn't help the PPD image. It is probably a good time to have a sensible policy about what types of videos should and shouldn't be posted. With that said, this is one video that probably shouldn't be posted and I'm going to take it down.

Cool, give it a little more time so we can get input from a couple of other members and then go ahead and take it down.

"Also, while I know that pit bulls are capable of this kind of behavior"

every breed of dog on this board is capable of this , now i havent seen that video in a while but what i remember thinking when i watched it was " someone has been working that dog " and he was kinda a nice dog at the time of me watch the video just doing what he was told to do and sticking chest bites if i remember correctly ?
the lady was just a serious nut job , tell the animal control officer her dog was going to come out and get her , i remember the first time i saw that vid i knew how messed up i was because all i saw was entry and how the grip was and the dog seemed calm for a live bite ..
