Default How many calories a day should I feed my dog

I have looked at a few sights and According to them 15cal - 25cal per pound of body weight

My dog is not over weight, his waist is pinched in and you can faintly see his ribs so I don’t think he is over weight but I wonder if he is over fed

He is 18-19 mo old, 135-150 libs

I feed him 2 meals of 3 cups of 432cal a cup grain free dog food, and 1 cup of raw ground chicken a day

Any feed back would be help full

I can't tell you anything about calories. Every day I look at my dog to determine his condition, if he's looking plump I reduce the portion and vice versa.

Sounds like a big boy. What's his height at the withers?

You must have measured incorrectly. That's huge and 3cm over the ADRK maximum standard for height.

Still a big boy. Mine is half an inch shorter, and in good form. I'll weigh him some time and let you know.
