I took my dog to training last night and the trainer brought out a female decoy which confused my dog where he was apprehensive to bite and immediately let go when she yelped when he had ahold of her. He did dive back in but without the intensity he usually displays. His usual decoy came out and he was then on fire but already pooped out after working with the female decoy.
Has anyone else had a similar experience where their dog was apprehensive about biting a female decoy and how long before he gets back into the mode?
I want to also add that I think he's going through puberty at almost 8 months. He's digging and being unusually distructive. He's also spooking at dumb sh_t when he's usually steady nerved.
